Route
1 day:
Enjoy a boat trip on the enchanting Tegernsee, surrounded by some lovely villages. It is the cleanest lake in Bavaria. Continue high up to the Zugspitze: the cable car takes you up to an altitude of 2962 metres, where you can enjoy the breathtaking view. The Zugspitze is the highest peak in the Wetterstein mountain range and also Germany’s highest mountain.
2 day:
Take the lift up Mount Isel and marvel at the Innsbruck backdrop with the Nordkette mountain range in the background. The Bergisel is a 746 metre high hill in the south of the Wilten district of Innsbruck. The breathtaking view of Innsbruck, the fascination of a ski jumping venue with an Olympic past and the modern architecture characterise the Bergisel ski jump. The tower, designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, the panorama restaurant ‘Bergisel Sky’ and the viewing terrace can be easily reached in just a few minutes using two lifts. In the afternoon, we head up to the medieval Kufstein Fortress, Kufstein’s landmark, where you can get an idea of its interesting history.
